Fashion for a Fraction and Super Bowl Weekend

Being locked in house for a week due to the snow has let me catch up on some things.. like blogging.. Sorry for the delay :) But here goes... I went to pretty cool places over super bowl weekend. My sister came up to visit from Alabama so I wanted to show her a good time. Easy to do in Nashville there are always so many things going on.

We started the day at the Nashville City Winery. I know I talk a lot about this place, if you haven't been yet GO!! They were hosting Fashion for a Fraction. Nashville’s fashionistas and savvy shoppers shopped local boutiques showcasing deeply discounted denim, clothing, handbags, jewelry, accessories and more. Admission was $5 and proceeds benefited Hands on Nashville. I got the cute necklace pictured above from SMACK which is located on Elliston Street for a great $9!! It was a big enough space to be able to move around and shop easily with the tons of people there. Totally worth the $5 admission!

Next we went to Jackalope Brewery. The only Brewery that was open early because they do Beer and yoga on Saturdays!!! Jackalope is cool not only because they have fantastic brews, like the Bearwalker which we both loved, but because it is the only brewery in Nashville founded by women! We also ordered a delicious cheese plate from the Bloomy Rind which is located in East Nashville. Jackalope is located beside Party Fowl hot chicken!
After that we changed and headed over to Pinewood Social. I hosted a Jewelry party for some girlfriends. It is such a great place for any type of get together, meeting, or just for drinks. They were very accommodating! We enjoyed great brews and their hummus plate! It is all ages, which is nice for all you moms that need to get out!
We were hungry for a little more after leaving Pinewood Social. They only serve a limited menu between lunch and dinner. But they did let us know before booking our times which was fantastic. So we stopped by Sushi Sams at Acme downtown! Always delicious even though Sam was not there!!

Super Bowl Sunday we ended up at SOUTH located Demunbruen Street. They we so great! It was pouring rain and packed so the waitress took chairs from outside and cleaned them for us so we would have a table. They had some great specials like bottomless mimosas and bloody marks for $15 (every Sunday), and $5 burgers and wings! After that we headed over to the Hop Stop in east Nashville for another great beer. They even let me plug up my iPhone to put on some music.
It was a great weekend exploring Nashville! Make sure you get out and try some things!!! Let me know how you like it!!

  1. Dam!! Between you, and Christopher, Garen and Timothy, you four are the best city tour guides in the tri-city area! Nashville, Boston, New York City (Brooklyn) will never be the same for Steve and I because of my favorite tour guides. Love you!!
