TROUBADOUR SOCIETY 2015 Kickoff Party at the Country Music Hall of Fame

Monday night was a fun event for Troubadour Society members at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The event featured Cadillac Three's Grammy nominated Jaren Johnston. Jaren wrote "Beachin" by Jake Owen, "Southern Girl" Tim McGraw, and "Sunshine and Whiskey" Frankie Ballard to name a few. He did an awesome acoustic performance! We were in good company with Scott Borchetta (founder of Big Machine Records)  and Steven Tyler (Aerosmith of course!!) also in the crowd listening. The museum was also open to tour before and after the performance. Troubadour Society is a community of young professionals dedicated to the mission of the Museum and country music. Members of the Troubadour Society represent the leaders of tomorrow and all those who care about an important musical legacy. You can check it out and join at:

Walking in Memphis

Hello!!!! Hope everyone is having a great New Year!! I have been super busy interning at Average Joes Entertainment and doing new member stuff for SOLID so my blog and socialite status has took the back burner some! But I was able to do a fun little getaway to Memphis this weekend and wanted to share!!
My morning started at The Arcade, Memphis' Oldest Cafe, Since 1919. The Arcade Restaurant, family owned, offers delicious home cooked food, family friendly atmosphere.Scenes from Mystery Train, Great Balls of Fire, The Client, The Firm, 21 Grams, Elizabethtown, Walk the Line, and My Blueberry Nights, just to name a few, have all been filmed in the restaurant. At one time, even Elvis was a regular. I enjoed the french toast breakfast.  http://arcaderestaurant.com/

Here is a photo just inside the Arcade taken by Christopher.

A little picture of the story that is on the back on the menu.

The next stop was just across the street. We walked by this place a couple times not realizing it was a dive bar named Earnestine and Hazel's. It is more than just a cool dive bar. It has been featured in 9 movies and represents the history of Memphis. It represents the soul, jazz, and blues that echoed into the street and the legends like B.B. King, Tina Turner, and Aretha Franklin went there for solace.  The bartender also told me Justin Timberlake is known to visit there. http://earnestineandhazelsjukejoint.com/about/the-bar

The inside of Earnestine and Hazel's.

On the same block as the Arcade and Earnestine and Hazel' is this gem of a thrift store. They had things from clothing, to books and jewelry.

This vintage pinball machine was really cool and forsale.

Chris really liked taking pictures of the old radios at the store.

Memphis has so many cool museums. I try to go to one every time we visit. This time it was the Rock N Soul Museum. It is a Smithsonian Museum with a lot of cool memorabilia.

This is a watched designed and owned by Isaac Hayes. The top opens to revile the watch face. It was made out of emeralds and diamonds.

All of these are some of the items in the museum.

Of course you have to make the trip down Beale Street while you are there. We had some awesome Ribs, Shrimp, and oysters at Silky O'Sullivans. We also watched some students perform at the School of Rock show.

Rocking our new Memphis Grizzlies Hats!

My first NBA basketball game!!! It was a bastt!

It was defiantly a fun time! Can't wait to go back!!!

Happy New Year

Thanks to Mix 92.3 Nashville, I spent New Years Eve downtown Nashville with over 100,000 other people. Luckily I had one of the best seats in the house at the Hard Rock Cafe right beside the stage! I have to admit I was very nervous about the parking/ cab situation with so many people. But Nashville really had there plan down. Parking at the Music City Center was super easy and convenient and only cost $10 all night! You can Never get that on a special event night! It was a good thing it was cheap because pretty much every venue had a cover ranging from $20-$200 and the lines were crazy. Advice to someone who has never been, buy tickets in advance and have a game plan, including a ride home! I highly recommend the Hard Rock. It was not over crowded, they had heaters, and food if you need it!

Miranda and I getting ready to leave out for the night! We stopped by Jonathan's in Green Hills for a quick Happy Hour flat bread and fried pickles.

Some new girls we met at the Palm

Outside of the Hard Rock. Look how close we are!

This is where the music note dropped and the bands played!
